Maria Beseghi, formerly of Zurich Ballet, is joining as a First Year Corps.
Where were you born and raised?
In Parma, Italy.
Where did you do your training?
First in my hometown and then three years in the Heinz Bosl Stiftung in Munich.
When did you join Northern Ballet?
What made you want to be a dancer?
When I saw my first ballet I was totally captured by it; that's how I decided to start dancing and convinced my parents to take me to a ballet school. I love being on stage and communicating something through movement and emotion. I love the fact that on stage I can always be a different character or creature than in real life.
What would be your luxury item on a desert island?
I think a swimming mask, I like to go exploring in the sea.
Describe your perfect Sunday morning...
First of all waking up with my boyfriend and without the nasty sound of the alarm. Then maybe listening to some good music, going for brunch or coffee if it's sunny. If it's raining then staying in and watching Friends.
