What made you want to be a dancer?

I think from a very young age I was fascinated by the movement the human body makes possible. You see, around the age of six (at the time my sister had already started ballet) I was full of questions for her after each ballet class, always with the hope that she would teach me what she had learned. Once I had a taste of the real thing I knew it was for me. And from there I fell in love with movement and performing.

What would be your dream role to dance and why?

It is a difficult question to narrow down but I have chosen two. The first being Romeo in Romeo & Juliet - I have always dreamed of dancing this young playful and deeply passionate role. The second being Carabosse in Sleeping Beauty. In Marica Hadyee’s production she incorporates an extreme athleticism to this role - this is the production I danced with the West Australian Ballet. To be able to combine this physicality with Carabosse’s dark character would be thrilling for me.

Who are your artistic influences or heroes?

Sorella Englund and Nehemiah Kish
