We are almost at the première of our new children’s ballet Elves & the Shoemaker. On Saturday 13 September the Company will be heading over to The Riley Theatre at Northern School of Contemporary Theatre to perform Elves & the Shoemaker to lots of excited children – and we can’t wait!
With our upcoming production of Dracula at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, last week we ran an event in collaboration with Leeds Central Library to show appreciation for all things gothic and supernatural and to address why Dracula is still as popular as ever in today’s arts and culture.
During our Summer Course, youngsters will have the opportunity to explore how we can use the magical tale of Peter Pan to inspire our own stories through dance.
The summer holidays are nearly here and it’s that time of year when we put down our school books and get ready for fun adventures in the sun.

This week, we celebrated World Book Day and wanted to ask you what has been your favourite story Northern Ballet has transformed into a ballet and why?
From William Shakespeare to Charles Dickens, Northern Ballet has created productions inspired by stories from some of the world’s most-loved authors.
We are delighted that the Summer Course has almost sold out. We still have 5 places available for the older group (10-14 year-olds) so make sure you book now as the last places will fill up quickly!
