Cinderella

Our unique Access Days enables visually impaired patrons to enjoy a full range of activities that enhance the enjoyment and understanding of ballet. The day consists of a touch tour on stage to feel the set, props and costumes, an insight session introducing movements from the production assisted by Company dancers, and an audio described performance.
What happens to our beautiful sets when they are not on tour I hear you ask, well Northern Ballet have a dedicated workshop and storage building known as Bramley, in West Leeds, where all our sets live. Not so much drama on the high seas than dancing on the high seas. Northern Ballet will tour A Midsummer Night’s Dream to China in January 2014 and the production was due to return to the UK in time for performances in Edinburgh in March. Due to a lack of available ships however the set and costumes won’t now make it back to the UK in time for the Company’s scheduled performances at Edinburgh Festival Theatre.

Coming in 2014
We has a great deal in store for you in our 45th anniversary year, 2014... Cinderella In January we have the last five performances of Cinderella at Leeds Grand Theatre before it tours in the spring and autumn.
