This year we are delighted that Northern Ballet's Sponsor A Dancer campaign has been selected to participate in The Big Give Christmas Challenge 2012. You can double your support for Sponsor A Dancer by taking part and help finance the future of the Company. The Big Give is an annual match funding event. On 6, 7 & 8 December any money you donate to us, including the renewal of your Sponsor A Dancer donation, could be doubled.

One of our Academy pianists, Lee Shiel, will be taking part in the Helloween on the Humber reloaded challenge on Saturday 27th October in support of Northern Ballet’s Sponsor a Dancer campaign.

Northern Ballet welcomes ten new dancers to the Company for the autumn season and bids a sad farewell to three popular dancers, well-known to Northern Ballet audiences. Five additions to the corps de ballet include Jessica Cohen from California and a graduate of the English National Ballet School, Isaac Lee-Baker and Sean Bates, both graduates of the Royal Ballet School, along with Luisa Rocco from Royal Swedish Ballet and Mark Dennis, a graduate of West Australian Ballet.
Mark Skipper joined Northern Ballet as Deputy Stage Manager in 1987, working his way through the roles of Company Manager and Head of Planning before being appointed Chief Executive in 1996.
