Matthew was born in Boston, Lincolnshire but has lived in Yorkshire for the past 11 years. He graduated from the Academy of Northern Ballet in 2009 and continued his training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. He joined Northern Ballet in 2012.
The Academy of Northern Ballet is not funded except by pupil subscription – this celebratory Gala is to highlight the successes of the Academy and to help raise funds so we can continue delivering world-class training to the stars of the future.

The Graduate Professional Programme costs £3,000 for the 2014/15 year.

The next intake on the course will be for the full-time course running through to late June 2016.
To apply to the Graduate Professional Programme dancers must be at least 18 years old by September 2014 and have completed vocational training. Applicants must also have completed their AS Levels (or equivalent) before the course start date. International applications are welcome subject to obtaining appropriate visa.
The Academy of Northern Ballet will be hosting an open day on 16 February at its home in Quarry Hill for local youngsters interested in pursuing their passion for ballet with professional training. The open day is the chance for 9 – 13 year olds from Leeds and Yorkshire to meet Academy staff and find out more about the training programmes on offer.
