Northern Ballet dancers stunned when they performed Dutch dance master Hans Van Manen's Concertante as part of their 2013 Mixed Programme. Now this sensational piece, inspired by and set to Frank Martin's Petite Symphonie, Concertante returns by popular demand.
Kenneth Tindall’s star is on the rise. His choreographic debut Project#1, which won the Bundesjungendballett Production Prize at the 26th Choreography Competition in Hanover, and his follow up Luminous Juncture have made him one to watch in the dance world and will be performed at the Royal Opera House's Linbury Studio Theatre this May. Kenneth's hotly anticipated new work, The Architect, will premiere at our home, Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre, in Leeds.
Tony Award nominated Lar Lubovitch has created more than 100 dance works and was described by the New York Times as ‘one of the ten best choreographers in the world’. Concerto Six Twenty-Two, which rounds of our exciting Mixed Programme, is set to Mozart’s Concerto in A for Clarinet and Orchestra and will be a rare chance to see the Company perform this acclaimed choreographer’s work.
