We are looking for an exceptional Events & Business Development Manager to organise and deliver all the Company’s events both at home at our stunning, award-winning headquarters in central Leeds as well as on our national tour. In this pivotal role you will work with colleagues inside and outside the Company on a range of events from meetings, conferences, drinks receptions, formal dinners and out-of-this world experiences that only Northern Ballet can offer.

You will take the lead on designing an events programme which makes the most of Northern Ballet’s unique offer and proactively promote it using your contacts and networks. As Northern Ballet seeks to expand its portfolio of clients at home and on its national tour, it is an exciting time to join this world-class and award-winning company.

Salary £25,000 per annum

Northern Ballet’s highly ambitious Development team generates income from a range of different sources in support of the Company’s artistic, learning and outreach work, and the Academy. We are looking for a Development Officer – Corporates to play a key part in developing existing corporate partnerships and new relationships with commercial companies.

You will be responsible for overseeing and developing existing corporate relationships and building new partnerships in Yorkshire and the North, under the guidance and leadership of the Development Manager – Corporates and Individuals.

Salary £22,000 per annum

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and two years’ experience of corporate fundraising in a charity or arts context, or equivalent relevant experience in relationship management.

Northern Ballet tour the UK and overseas extensively each year. Our repertoire is a mix of both classical and neo-classical works as well as imaginative narrative full-length ballets.

We are looking for male and female dancers.

You must have strong classical technique, strong pointe work, good partnering skills and strength and should be open-minded, creative and imaginative.

Closed auditions will be held by invitation only on Sun 8 Feb 2015 in Leeds.

Please submit a full CV (which must include height, weight, date of birth and nationality), current full length classical dance photos and a video link (or DVD) of centre work on pointe in leotard/tights showing jumps, adage, pirouette and long travelling combinations.

Work experience could inspire you to pursue a career in the arts.   At Northern Ballet we aspire to offer this opportunity to more young people across Leeds and Yorkshire.

Work experience is for young people of school age (usually in Years 9, 10 and 11) and can take place at any time in the academic year.

It provides you with an opportunity to spend a week at Northern Ballet gaining a broad experience of working in an arts organisation.

The focus of the experience is on the non-performance areas of the company and during the week you will spend time in different departments including; Technical, Communications, Development, Wardrobe, Learning and the Academy.

We are looking for young people who are enthusiastic about the arts and want to learn more about working behind the scenes at a cultural organisation.
