Anthony, who is currently working on a new edition of Richard Rodney Bennett’s biography (Richard Rodney Bennett: The Complete Musician), previously worked for Northern Ballet as an advisor on the music of Malcolm Arnold for The Three Musketeers. Anthony’s two latest books have been about cricket and motor racing: Lord’s Through Time and Silverstone Circuit Through Time. His dancer/choreographer daughter, Jo Meredith, recently appeared in The Wind In The Willows at the Linbury Theatre, Covent Garden.

The main characters and their relationships are introduced: Louis XIII and Anne of Austria and their loveless marriage; Cardinal Richelieu; a love affair between the Queen and the Duke of Buckingham. Act 1 Gascony D’Artagnan prepares to leave for Paris to become a Musketeer.
Charles has worked in the UK and internationally designing opera, ballet, drama, musicals and pantomime. His previous work for Northern Ballet includes set design for The Three Musketeers. He is resident designer with Library Theatre, Manchester. Charles has worked on many productions for Leicester Haymarket Theatre, most notably The Plough and The Stars.
