Tim Mitchell
Tim has previously lit Hamlet and Dracula for Northern Ballet and other dance and opera credits include Die Fledermaus (WNO); Die Frau Ohne Schatten, Elektra (Mariinsky Theatr, Russiae); Ariadne Auf Naxos (Boston); The Marriage of Figaro, Requiem Ballet, Don Giovanni (Kammeroper); Carmen Negra (Icelandic Opera); The Snowman (Korea/Sadler’s Wells/Tour) and The Lady and The Fool (BRB).
Nina Dunn
After starting her professional life in the fields of motion graphic design for film and broadcast, Nina now specialises in integrated projection design and content production for Theatre and Live Events. Recently, she designed projections for Die Frau Ohne Schatten at the Mariinsky Theatre, St Petersburg, which received 4 stars from the Financial Times and which, in addition to repertory performances, will be touring to Ljubiana, Tokyo and Edinburgh over the next twelve months. A DVD of the show is due to be released on the Mariinsky label within the next few months.
Claude-Michel Schönberg
Born in 1944 of Hungarians parents, Claude-Michel began his career in France as a singer, writer and producer of pop songs.
Mark works freelance working for many leading dance, opera and drama companies in the UK and overseas and is Artistic Associate at Chichester Festival. He works regularly for David Bintley at Birmingham Royal Ballet. His opera designs include many productions at Glyndebourne, Vlaamse Opera, Opera National du Rhin, Israeli Opera, Potsdam, Opera Northern Ireland and Holland Park.Mark received a 2007 Drama Desk Nomination for Outstanding Lighting on Prometheus Bound in New York and his opera designs were selected for the British entry of the 1999 Prague Quadrennial.
Christopher Giles
Current work includes: Cleopatra, Northern Ballet, Choreographer David Nixon; Bells are Ringing, Director Paul Foster, Union Theatre; Leonce und Lena (associate), Grands Ballets Canadiens, Montreal, Choreographer Christian Spuck.
Charles has worked in the UK and internationally designing opera, ballet, drama, musicals and pantomime. His previous work for Northern Ballet includes set design for The Three Musketeers. He is resident designer with Library Theatre, Manchester. Charles has worked on many productions for Leicester Haymarket Theatre, most notably The Plough and The Stars.
Patricia has worked extensively with Northern Ballet, beginning as drama consultant and acting coach on Christopher Gable’s Dracula, continuing with him and Michael Pink on Giselle and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.  She then directed Northern Ballet’s Carmen and A Streetcar Named Desire, both choreographed by Didy Veldman.
Dave Gillan is a Fine Art graduate of the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, specialising in sculpture. His long association with Northern Ballet began with his painting sets for the 1996 production of Dracula, and he has worked on every production since. For the last six years he has also painted sets for the York Theatre Royal’s everpopular Panto. Dave’s other projects include working on the Millennium Mystery Plays in York Minster, and more recently he was Project Manager for Alton Towers’ ‘Splashdown’ hotel/waterpark project.
Peter Mumford
Peter co-directed and designed the sets and lighting for L’Heure Espagnole and L’Enfant et les Sortilèges (Opera Zuid). He won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Achievement in Dance (1995) and the Olivier Award for Best Lighting (The Bacchae, NT) in 2003.
