In a nutshell describe your job and how you got into it.
I am a professional ballet dancer. My job is to use the technique of ballet to convey a story, emotion or concept and connect with an audience.
I got into this profession thanks to my parents who have supported my dream of becoming a ballet dancer since I was child.
Where can you be found when you’re not at Northern Ballet?
At home in my flat with a cup of tea watching a movie or out on a walk exploring different places.
Which is your favourite Northern Ballet production and why?
I would have to say A Midsummer Night’s Dream as it will be my first production with the company.
If you weren’t a Dancer what would you be?
I would love to be a screen actor.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
There aren’t any British-born Asian actors that I know of.... Maybe I could play myself!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
Don’t be a mediocre copy of somebody else when you can be the best original version of yourself.
What song will always get you dancing?
I love the music from Tchaikovsky's Pas de Deux - it always makes me want to dance. And any song with a good beat will always get me moving too!
What scares you?
Missing opportunities and losing moments I can’t get back.
What would be your Mastermind specialist subject?
Social media and technology.
What do you want to do before you die?
Travel the world.

Nicole Scherzinger (of The Pussycat Dolls fame), Macklemore (American rapper), Daniil Simkin (Russian ballet dancer), Raven Symoné (American actress and singer), Ashley Tisdale (singer of High School Musical fame) and my best mate, Alex.
