This just in - we are producing a brand new ballet for 2013 - The Great Gatsby.
It will première on Sat 2 March, 2013 at Leeds Grand Theatre. That's all we can say for now but keep checking back for updates!

DAZL, Beauty Workshops & START ending
There were a few tears as Butterfly danced her final dance and the sound of over 500 young people clapping and cheering for the company brought a tear to my eye. I think it’s safe to say that for those whose first visit to the theatre it was will most definitely be returning!

START Project 2012
Friday was a day of recovery for the Learning team as the START project came to an end for another year.
On Thursday we had 550 young people (plus their teachers) watching the performance of Madame Butterfly at Leeds Grand Theatre and the atmosphere in the theatre was electric.

World Book Day
Today (a March 2012) is World Book Day and we all love a good book here at Northern Ballet towers...
A year ago The Grauniad published an infographic of 117 Books Everyone Should Read – bringing together the UK’s most borrowed library books, Desert Island Discs book choices, Pulitzer Prize winners and more.
We passed this infographic around the Northern Ballet ofices and asked people to tell us which they had read and here are the results...

Never a dull moment
There's never a dull moment at Northern Ballet! I spent the half term preparing for a busy couple of months ahead which includes the Easter Course at Quarry Hill in April and In Motion – a dance project for young wheelchair users. Northern Ballet at Headingly with Leeds Rhinos Ryan Hall
Ryan Hall of Championship winning Leeds Rhinos received a ballet masterclass from Northern Ballet's Antoinette Brooks-Daw and Jeremy Curnier last week.
