May 2011 - Auction

On 18 May, Lord Poltimore, Deputy Chairman of Sotheby's Europe, will auction a
series of exclusive prizes for Northern Ballet at Moro, London. We'd like to give
you the opportunity to place your bid on any of the prizes in advance. Bids will be
considered at the fundraising auction.
Send your bid by 12 noon on Monday 16 May to Hannah Walker.
Lot 1, In a Prima Ballerina's Footsteps
Northern Ballet's Martha Leebolt and The Royal Ballet's Tamara Rojo each donate a pair of their ballet shoes.
Lot 2, Connoisseur's Lunch
Berry Brothers & Rudd to host lunch for four in their St James's, London head office, with specially selected wines and food.
Lot 3, Five Star Service at Mosimann's
Dinner for two in the Montblanc Private Dining Room at Anton Mosimann's Belgravia restaurant club, including wines and private butler.
Lot 4, Dancing in the Sky
An exhilarating one hour flight in a very special, renovated Tiger Moth. The flight will leave from Blandford in Dorset and will be piloted by the owner himself, Jonathan Elwes.
Lot 5, A Week in Provence
A six bed, five bathroom Mas with pool set amongst its own olive grove on the outskirts of Cucuron. Available for up to 12 people by arrangement.
Lot 6, Sotheby's Lunch
Melanie Clore, Chairman, Sotheby's Europe and Co-Chairman Wordwide of Impressionist and Modern Arts Department and Lord Poltimore, Deputy Chairman Sotheby's Europe, will host a lunch for 12 in the beautiful Sotheby's Boardroom on New Bond Street, London W1. This will be followed by a guided tour of a current exhibition with a Sotheby's expert.
Lot 7, You and the Royal Family
Artist, photographer and film maker Alison Jackson will photograph you with a lookalike of your choice, such as William and Kate, The Queen or David Beckham. You'll also win a signed copy of Alison's new book ‘Kate and Wills Up the Aisle’.
Lot 8, Churchill' Finest Years
Historian Sir Max Hastings, author of Finest Years: Churchill as Warlord 1940-45 will give a private lecture for 12 people, on Churchill's war years, in the Churchill War Rooms, London SW1 followed by a guided tour.
Lot 9, Remember Cleopatra
A beautiful glass vase, 30cm high and 15cm across the rim, engraved with an image of Cleopatra, by Philip Lawson Johnston, engraver by Royal Appointment.
