The Duck with no name no more!

You've done it. You’ve chosen me a name and I’m delighted!

Hugs are the best!

We've had hundreds of entries in the Name the Duckling competition, and Northern Ballet have whittled it down to the best few. Mark Skipper, Northern Ballet's Chief Executive, chose Stanley. The winner is Mrs Bell from East Keswick who gets a family ticket to see Ugly Duckling.

Thank you to everyone who entered the competition and I really enjoyed reading all the imaginative name suggestions.

Distant relatives...

Last weekend I soaked up the last of the summer sunshine at Yeadon Tarn, playing games and speaking to families about Ugly Duckling. I made friends with some local children and caught up with some of my friends who live at the Tarn.

Next Saturday (6 October) I will be at Potternewton Park in Chapeltown from 10am to 3pm. If the weather's good there'll be fun and games for all the family and if it's bad we'll be wearing our water wings!

See you at Potternewton Park next week. I'm off now to get my name badge.

See you soon, Stanley x
