Take a Step Closer to Northern Ballet at Bradford Alhambra this September
To accompany our production of David Nixon’s Swan Lake we are offering several Step Closer events offering you a unique chance to find out ‘behind the scenes’ information about the Company and how the ballet was created, as well as the opportunity to meet other people who are interested in Northern Ballet.
Our Open Workshops in the studio on Sunday 26 September give young people the chance to try something different, working with a professional dance artist and a live musician to learn some steps from the show.
Whatever your ability, join us for these fun and creative workshops. Junior age group ( 8 -12 years) 10 am -11 .15 am £7.50 Senior age group (13 years +) 11.30 am - 1pm £7.50 For younger children, our Happy Feet workshop for the under fives combines live music, movement and storytelling in a creative play session, inspired by Swan Lake.
Thursday 30 September 9.15am - 10.15am (for under fives accompanied by free participating adult)) £5 You can also join us for Northern Ballet Revealed (a talk about Northern Ballet followed by the opportunity to watch the company class,) on Thursday 30 September 10.45 am - 12.15 pm, £3.50) and a free pre-performance talk 6.30 - 7 pm on Thursday 30 September. Also there is an audio-described performance on Saturday 2 October at 2.30 pm, preceded by a free Touch Tour and workshop for the visually impaired from 10.30 am - 1pm.
