Case study: Leeds Met

In September 2008 Northern Ballet and Leeds Met entered into a new three-year partnership. The partnership provides Leeds Met students with greater access to quality ballet performances in the theatre, dance workshops at the University and an opportunity to work with Northern Ballet on educational projects.

In February 2009 over 300 students experienced the ballet, many for the first time, through the ‘Are you a Ballet Virgin?’ campaign. A series of short ‘Energiser’ sessions have been delivered at Freshers Week and Staff Conferences to get people moving and interacting with their fellow delegates. Generating smiles and enthusiasm the session prepares delegates to engage in a full day’s training.
