In a nutshell describe your job and how you got into it.
After five years of convincing my parents, at the age of eight I finally met ballet. I can’t remember why, but I have always been in love with ballet.
Where can you be found when you’re not at Northern Ballet?
Travelling or in a coffee shop having a dark hot chocolate and reading.
Which is your favourite Northern Ballet production and why?
Romeo and Juliet, because it is my favourite production for choreography and Juliet is my dream role, and The Great Gatsby because I saw it in rehearsal at Leeds Grand Theatre before the premier whilst I was auditioning to join the company and I really liked it.
If you weren’t a Dancer what would you be?
I would like to be a member of an international organisation like ONU, UNICEF, Green Pace, Amnesty International etc...
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Me, but in cartoon version!
What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
From the Walt Whitman poem Do Not Let, "Do not let the day end without having grown a bit, without being happy,/ without having risen your dreams..."
What song will always get you dancing?
Any Latin song from salsa and merengue. And from classical music I love the Candide Overture from Bernstein and Sheherazade from Korsakov.
What scares you?
The actual situation of my home country (Venezuela) and living without a person to love and that loves you back.
What would be your Mastermind specialist subject?
Ballet and philosophy.
What do you want to do before you die?
I would want to have my most important goals realised.
It’s your dream dinner party – which six people (dead or alive) would you invite?
My mother, father, brother, boyfriend, grandfather (because my brother and I would like to meet him and my dad would be happy to see him again) and Merlin the Wizard!
Describe yourself in three words?
Positive, honest, determined.
