Often I find the excitement of traveling in savoring the anticipation. I love to imagine what lies ahead - what the people are like, where are the busiest streets, how will I end up spending my time?
On 5, 6 and 7 December we asked you to support our Sponsor a Dancer campaign in the Big Give Christmas Challenge – and you didn’t disappoint!
We kicked off the Big Give by welcoming dance students from Headingley Ballet School who presented a £125 cheque towards the campaign following a second-hand uniform sale run by the students to raise money. By the end of the Big Give we had achieved £59,053.80 in donations, beating last year’s total by more than £2,000!

We’ll see them next year, ready to learn,
Their twirling and laughter filling the class,
As they practice for exams they will surely pass,
Our new full-length ballet, and second of 2013, Cinderella opens tonight at Leeds Grand Theatre!

Northern Ballet’s Chief Executive Mark Skipper responds to the report published yesterday that the Government spends £69 per head on arts and culture in London compared with £4.60 per person elsewhere in England.
Ghostly greetings from Northern Ballet! On this chilly Halloween we are enjoying everything spooky with our ghoulish production of A Christmas Carol currently touring the UK. In one magical night the three ghosts and Old Jacob Marley take miserable Ebenezer Scrooge on a spiritual journey but it is not just our production that has ghostly apparitions, some of our venues have reported strange encounters.
