As the lead artist on the Easter Course I’m getting really excited as we will be working in partnership with International Puppet Artist and Physical Theatre Performer, Rebekha Caputo.
We run a variety of courses for all ages and abilities.
This resource pack is designed to give teachers an insight into Northern Ballet's production of Peter Pan. It is suitable for Key Stages 2, 3 and 4 and provides practical ideas and tasks that can be used in the classroom.
This resource pack is designed to give teachers an insight into Northern Ballet’s production of A Simple Man, to enable teachers to prepare students for a visit to the theatre or to use this production as a stimulus for creative work in the classroom.
This resource pack aims to give teachers a rich, stimulating set of materials to teach dance and other related subjects at Keystage 3 (with adaptations for Keystage 2). You can use this pack to build your own lesson plans and schemes of work with information and creative ideas drawn from Northern Ballet's production of The Three Musketeers. As well as dance performance, composition and appreciation, the pack signposts subject material for Design, Music, English, Drama, History and PSHE.
Check out our new advert for the Northern Ballet Dance in the City Summer School that's taking place from 22 -- 26 August. Find out a bit more about what will be happening on the course, get an insight into what our summer school will be like and see where you will be dancing when you join us for a week of movement, creativity and fun. The course is open to anyone aged 7 to 16 with an interest in dance.

The START project enables young people, who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to access the arts, to take part in dance activities and to visit local theatres. “ 'This is one of the best projects that I have ever been involved in and I have been teaching for 30 years!'

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been traveling up to Durham on a Wednesday to work with The Flex Dance Company. Run by TIN Arts, The Flex is a company of 9 artists with learning disabilities who come together to create, devise and perform new contemporary dance work. TIN Arts is quite an inspirational organisation who deliver arts programmes for people of all ages and abilities over the North east so for me it’s a brilliant opportunity to work other experienced artists who are experts in this field. I was immediately made to feel very welcome and quickly got to know everyone.
