This resource pack aims to give teachers a rich, stimulating set of materials to teach dance and other related subjects at Keystage 3 (with adaptations for Keystage 2). You can use this pack to build your own lesson plans and schemes of work with information and creative ideas drawn from Northern Ballet's production of The Three Musketeers. As well as dance performance, composition and appreciation, the pack signposts subject material for Design, Music, English, Drama, History and PSHE.

For the last couple of weeks I’ve been traveling up to Durham on a Wednesday to work with The Flex Dance Company. Run by TIN Arts, The Flex is a company of 9 artists with learning disabilities who come together to create, devise and perform new contemporary dance work. TIN Arts is quite an inspirational organisation who deliver arts programmes for people of all ages and abilities over the North east so for me it’s a brilliant opportunity to work other experienced artists who are experts in this field. I was immediately made to feel very welcome and quickly got to know everyone.

Over the last couple of weeks Sophie Alder (Dance Education Officer) has been visiting Shepherds Lane Children’s Centre in Leeds working with the pupils to explore the tale of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’ through music and dance.
'Mature Movers' is a creative movement workshop that is fully accessible. Following a warm up participants are taught a section of a ballet with accompaniment from a live musician. This workshop took place on the stage of Leeds Grand Theatre on March 4, 2010 where the dancers learned The Knight's Dance section of Northern Ballet's production of Romeo & Juliet.
