Swan Lake

In 1992 Dennis Wayne choreographed a new Swan Lake using Tchaikovsky's score. The production was incredibly popular – it sold out much of it's thirty-plus city run, including two weeks in London. This week's photo from the archive features dancers Jayne Regan and William Walker as Odette and Prince Siegfried, taken by Anthony Crickmay.
Hello and welcome to my latest blog. This time I have a collection from two of our recent ballets, Swan Lake, which we performed in Bradford, Woking and Aylesbury; and The Nutcracker which we performed in Nottingham, Sheffield, Norwich, Manchester and Leeds. Though an injury to my knee prevented me from doing all of The Nutcracker performances, I was able to pick up my camera a little more and get some shots from the side of stage.

It was during his time there that he first became interested in choreography, helping to revive a choreographic workshop with the approval of school director Betty Oliphant. After further training in Europe he returned to Canada to train with Erik Bruhn and the great Russian teacher, Eugene Valukin.
