Name That Duck!
Hello again, have you missed me?!
I’ve been very busy the last few weeks helping my friend Ugly practice her ballet as there was a dress rehearsal last week and she wanted to make sure she knew all the steps. Some children were invited to watch the dress rehearsal and were asked what they thought of it - apparently they all really enjoyed it and want to see it again!
Ugly also told me that lots of people are buying their tickets and the performance at Yeadon Town Hall has actually sold out already!!
Don’t panic if you wanted to go, an extra performance has been added at 4.30pm so that even more people can see the show.
This Saturday I am going to Yeadon Tarn with my friends from Northern Ballet to meet more families and tell them about the ballet, Ugly Duckling. We will be at the Tarn from 10am – 3pm with games and balloons so come along and see us. I hear that there is usually an ice cream van there so I’m excited about that...
Saturday will also be your last chance to enter the Name the Duckling competition that is running to find me a name. We have had hundreds of entries and some brilliant suggestions for what I should be called.
Here's a handful of my favourites
- Daisy Quackums McFlully
- Mr Fuzzybeak
- Sir Quakalot
If you want to enter the competition to win a family ticket to see the ballet, come along on Saturday and get your thinking caps on for a weird and wonderful name. The winner will be announced in my blog next week and I can hardly wait, quack!
