A Streetcar Named Desire

...they told me to take a streetcar named Desire, and then transfer to one called Cemeteries and ride six blocks and get off at – Elysian Fields!


One steamy summer's day, Blanche DuBois arrives at the modest city home of her sister Stella and her husband, Stanley Kowalski, clutching desperately to the remnants of her genteel life at Southern plantation Belle Reve (Beautiful Dream). The dirty and claustrophobic conditions of the French quarter apartment at once strain relations, and the fading Southern beauty finds herself caught up in an intense battle of wills with the hot-blooded Polish immigrant. As the situation reaches boiling point Stella is forced to make an unthinkable decision...
