Hot on the heels of the official opening of our new home and our Open Day we are delighted to announce more good news. Premier dancer, Martha Leebolt, has been awarded the Outstanding Female Performance (Classical) award at today's Critics' Circle National Dance Awards for her performance as the Marquise De Merteuil in Dangerous Liaisons, choreographed by Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director David Nixon OBE.

If you're fed up of the latest special effects extravaganzas you can go to a selected cinema on 19 January and see the Royal Ballet performing Giselle - broadcast live.

The broadcast stars Royal Ballet principals Marianela Nuñez and Rupert Pennefather.

Final Day in Beijing (2011)

Our time in Beijing seems to have flown by and we are at the final performance day already. Class wasn’t until 1.15 so still plenty of time for even more shopping. For some it is the thrill of the bargaining as much as what they are actually buying.

Northern Ballet rings in the New Year in China

Northern Ballet returns to China this January with two of the Company’s best-loved productions: Madame Butterfly and Romeo & Juliet . The Company will perform at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing from 1 to 5 January 2011.
