Alan Harrison
Alan Harrison has had an international career spanning 37 years. He is responsible for IT services within Yorkshire Water and is also Managing Director of Loop Customer Management, which specialises in cost effective customer relationship management. Prior to joining Yorkshire Water Alan held positions in the nuclear industry with UKAEA and BNFL; was a consultant with Coopers and Lybrand and worked with BICC Cables.
My family has a broad interest in the arts and a particular love of ballet. So, I was delighted to be invited to join the Northern Ballet Board.
I believe Northern Ballet is a major arts and cultural asset of Yorkshire - introducing many people to the world of dance. As well as delivering quality performances the Company engages in community activities and development of young dancers.
From an artistic perspective, Northern Ballet pushes the boundaries of ballet by developing and performing exciting new work of outstanding quality as well as delivering more traditional works to the highest standards. I am proud that we engage in a hectic touring programme to share our performances with audiences across the UK.
We will be moving into our new home at Quarry Hill next year and there is a lot to do to make the transition successful. I am looking forward to working with the whole Company as we move into this exciting next phase of Northern Ballet’s development.
