Keiko was born in Japan. She trained with Kazuko Suzuki in Japan and from 1995 to 1997 went to John Neumeier Hamburg Ballet School in Germany. After graduation she joined Norwegian National Ballet where danced various soloist and lead roles.
In 2001, Keiko left Norway and joined Northern Ballet with David Nixon. Until she left the Company in 2009, she danced all of the lead roles in their repertoire. Odette in Swan Lake, Hermia in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Constance in The Three Musketeers were created on her.
After leaving Northern Ballet in 2009, Keiko toured the UK with Wayne Sleep in his production Precious Little Sleep. She also rehearsed Northern Ballet Academy students performing in David Nixon's production of The Nutcracker.
Keiko returned several times to Japan to teach, perform and choreograph. For the Northern Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre Choreographic Workshop in June 2011, she created a piece called Flavour Fever.
