What are your career highlights?

Dancing the main boy in excerpts from Sleeping Beauty in Hiroshima’s theatre; dancing in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace for HRH Prince Charles.

What made you want to be a dancer?

I don’t think there was one specific thing. I’ve always loved to dance and to find myself doing it as a job is a dream come true.

What would be your dream role to dance and why?

The 4th Cavalier in the Rose Adorge in Sleeping Beauty. It’s my favourite ballet in the world.

If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?

The life of Lady Jane Grey. She had love, drama and pushy parents, perfect for a story ballet. Plus it’s got a dramatic ending.

Who are your artistic influences or heroes?

Beethoven. He wrote music whilst being deaf. Now that’s overcoming adversity. Agatha Christie – she could really think through a story. Lesley Collier's Sugar Plum Fairy – it’s just beautiful.

First will have been S Club 7 and Lohengrin by Wouter Hamel (Dutch singer) was the last.
