The night before Christmas...

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when at Quarry Hill,
Not a leotard or pointe shoe sat on the sill,
The studios are silent, not a whisper or sound,
It’s a strange kind of feeling not usually found,

The students have broken up for the term,
We’ll see them next year, ready to learn,
Their twirling and laughter filling the class,
As they practice for exams they will surely pass,

We are so excited for the World Première of Cinderella next week, we have decided to give you an exclusive glimpse of a couple of the costumes designed by our Artistic Director, David Nixon OBE.

Ghostly greetings from Northern Ballet!  On this chilly Halloween we are enjoying everything spooky with our ghoulish production of A Christmas Carol currently touring the UK. In one magical night the three ghosts and Old Jacob Marley take miserable Ebenezer Scrooge on a spiritual journey but it is not just our production that has ghostly apparitions, some of our venues have reported strange encounters.

As our Autumn tour continues, we are bringing Christmas early this year with the return of A Christmas Carol to celebrate its 21st Anniversay. The first stop for Scrooge and the Christmas ghosts is Norwich. As this was my first ime in the Norwich I did some investigating into what life is like working in the theatre and I interviewed the lovely Amelia Goymer, Box Office Assistant at Norwich Theatre Royal
