On Sat 22 January 2011, days after the grand opening of their new home, Northern Ballet and Phoenix Dance Theatre threw open their doors to the people of Leeds and beyond so they could see and take part in the activities of their fantastic new building. There were performances, talks, make-up demonstrations, and classes people of all ages and abilities could take part in. Over 2,200 people did come on the day and there were smiling faces all round.
On Tuesday 18 January our home in the heart of Leeds was officially opened by HRH the Earl of Wessex. There were performances by Northern Ballet Academy students, Phoenix Dance Theatre and Northern Ballet and the evening was rounded off with an explosive display of fireworks.
Located in the heart of West Yorkshire and the cultural hub of Leeds, Northern Ballet's new home offers conference, performance, events and exhibition space over 6 floors in a stunning glass-fronted building. Our city centre location is easily accessed by rail and road, with nearby parking available. It is the largest dance space outside of London and boasts the largest dance studio in Europe.

World premiere Saturday 26 February 2011, Leeds Grand Theatre. Then touring to Edinburgh, Hull, Sheffield, Cardiff, Milton Keynes, Belfast, London, Nottingham, Woking and Norwich.
