You won't see Northern Ballet perform this Mixed Programme anywhere else and the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre is the perfect space to enjoy the Company's athletic and talented dancers.
Dance takes centre stage as Europe meets America in Northern Ballet's Mixed Programme for 2013.
Dutch dance master Hans van Manen has created more than 100 short classical ballets during his illustrious 60 year career with, amongst many others, Nederlands Dans Theater and the Dutch National Ballet. Northern Ballet dancers will be performing van Manen's Concertante, a classical ballet inspired by and set to Frank Martin's Petite Symphonie Concertante.

We dare you not to be moved by the breathtaking Angels in the Architecture which makes a welcome return to Northern Ballet's programme. Created by the American choreographer Mark Godden and danced to Aaron Copland's beautiful Appalachian Spring, it is based on the lives of the Shaker people.
