Fun at the Academy Summer School
Aimée Stead and Emily Willis have just joined the Northern Ballet Academy. They wanted to share their experiences of Summer School with us...
We’re both 10 years old and we’ve just started at Northern Ballet Academy in Level 1. Have been travelling from Barnoldswick in Pendle and Full Sutton to take part in the Summer School and from September we’ll start coming to classes three times a week.
Over the past two weeks we’ve been taking part in Summer School and we’ve had a great time! Summer School has been really good because we’ve got to meet some of the other people we’ll be doing classes with.
Our favourite class has been Jazz because its lots of fun and you get to do so many different moves and it’s been taught by Cara who is our favourite teacher because she’s fun and friendly too!
We’ve seen the Company dancers around the building coming in and out of their rehearsals and we think they are all fantastic! Martha and Kenny are two of our favourite dancers. They are on some of the posters that we’ve seen in the building and they dance some of the lead roles.
Our first Summer School has been a really brilliant experience and we would love to do it again. We’ve made lots of new friends and done loads of dancing and we are looking forward to coming back after the summer holidays.
Thank you for such a great time to all the staff!
