Great weather for ducklings!

Published on

Hello! I am the latest addition to the Northern Ballet team and I've spent the last few weeks visiting parks around Leeds with Breeze on Tour, telling people all about our new ballet for children, Ugly Duckling.

I am friends with the Ugly Duckling and while she is busy working on her new ballet I am helping her spread the word and encourage families to come and watch her ballet debut!

At Roundhay Park and Temple Newsam we've had great fun playing games, giving out balloons and stickers and I've met lots of nice children who have been giving me cuddles. I haven't introduced myself properly yet, not because I'm shy but because I don't have a name! All of the children I have met recently have been trying to think of a name for me and have entered a competition to choose me a wonderful name. Whoever suggests the name that I like the most will win a family ticket to watch my friend Ugly perform in the ballet Ugly Duckling in October.

After all this excitement, I'm having a little rest back at the duck pond, splashing around in the water with the other ducklings. But I'll be back with Breeze on Tour at Kirkstall Abbey on Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 August so come along and meet me, play games and enter a competition to name me.

Hope to see you there!
