World Book Day 2013
Today is World Book Day, and whilst we've all been reading The Great Gatsby in preparation for our new production I asked around the office to find out what else people are reading...
Emma & Eloise (Communications) are both reading Ian McEwan, Cement Garden and Sweet Tooth. Janet in Fundraising is reading Deborah Bull's book on life as a ballerina, The Everyday Dancer, while Shelley in Learning is enjoying Sue Townsend's The Woman Who Went to Bed for a Year.
People are also reading Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky, Wool by Hugh Howey, Round Ireland with a Fridge by Tony Hawks, the magazine All Out Cricket and Bad Pharma by Ben Goldacre.
I think it's fair to say we're a fairly diverse group here as our online friends-
Over on Facebook our fans have been reading Dr Sy'n by Russell Thorndike, The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey, Doris Lessing's The Golden Notebook and Neil Gaiman's American Gods.
The prize for the best titled book being read by people at Northern Ballet has to go to Mona Lisa's Pyjamas by A Craig Copetas.
