Behind-the-scenes at the Harvey Nichols fashion shoot

Published on

Last week two of the our dancers, Maria Beseghi and Olivia Holland, switched occupation for a day to be models in a luxury fashion photo-shoot with Harvey Nichols and Yorkshire Post. We took lots of snaps to give you a behind-the-scenes look at just what the dancers got up to.

It was an early start with a taxi to the location at 8am. Hotel, Spa & Golf resort Rudding Park were kind enough to provide the perfect backdrop for the photo-shoot and the first task of the day is hair and make-up for the dancers.

Emily Scarth, Technical Director from Russell Eaton Salon, and her assistant Ainsley provided the amazing hair for the day and freelance make-up artist, Tani Kang, provided the glitter and glamourous make-up on both our dancers.

Today was every girl's dream as we were surrounded by gorgeous designer clothes and the shoes were sensational. There were lots of gasps when the Jimmy Choos were brought out! Stephanie Mensah from Harvey Nichols selected all the clothes which are on trend for this season.

Once the girls are prepped and ready, the fun really began with photographer Jonathan Gawthorpe and direction from the Yorkshire Post Fashion Editor, Stephanie Smith.

The girls are models for the day but you can never get them away from their inner dancer Maria kept her feet warm and stylish with her Uggs!

Even our lovely intern Rose got in on the modelling action!

After several hours and a lot of photos the shoot was over and we all tidied up and headed home. Tomorrow is back to the barre for the dancers and Cinderella rehearsals.

A huge thank you to all involved in the day, everyone had a lot of fun and we are very excited to see the final photos which will be in the Yorkshire Post magazine on the 14 December. I think we will be buying several copies just for our team.
