Northern Ballet is a powerhouse for inventive dance. Based in Leeds and loved nationally we are a busy touring ballet company performing in 40 theatres across the UK with our full-length and children’s ballets, giving more than 150 performances per year to more than 150,000 people. Thanks to the recent Arts Council funding announcement we are bringing the highest quality dance to even more parts of the country.

We are looking for a Project Manager to work in our busy learning department, to manage and administrate current education and engagement programmes. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining and building on current relationships with partners whilst developing new learning programmes that excite and engage audiences and participants with ballet, music and dance.

F/T position 35hrs a week

Salary   £20,850 P/A

Work experience is for young people of school age (usually in Years 9, 10 and 11) and can take place at any time in the academic year.

It provides you with an opportunity to spend a week at Northern Ballet gaining a broad experience of working in an arts organisation.

The focus of the experience is on the non-performance areas of the company and during the week you will spend time in different departments including; Technical, Communications, Development, Wardrobe, Learning and the Academy.

We are looking for young people who are enthusiastic about the arts and want to learn more about working behind the scenes at a cultural organisation.

Northern Ballet Sinfonia is looking to recruit a Principal Flute.

Northern Ballet Sinfonia is one of the North’s leading orchestras. Playing for Northern Ballet’s extensive national tours, the Sinfonia performs the highest quality music throughout the UK.

Well known for the annual Classical Fantasia concert at Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds, the Sinfonia is also engaged in other ‘out-of-pit’ activities including commercial recordings.

The Touring Ballet Contract is based on 20/22 weeks work during the year.

Audition will take place in Leeds, date to be announced.
