Dreda Blow
Being included in the Northern Ballet ‘family’ over the past 4 years has shaped and defined me, not only as an artist but as a person too. I would be truly honoured and grateful if a sponsorship would allow me to continue my career as a part of this company's exciting future!

In a nutshell describe your job and how you got into it?
Well, after training for many years, first in Toronto at the National Ballet School, then later in The Hague at Koninklijk Conservatorium, I landed my first job with Het Nationale. Although I learned a great deal and performed some great work during the two and a half years I spent there, I felt a strong pull towards Northern Ballet and was excited by the innovative narrative repertoire. 5 years later I’m still here and grateful for the wonderful opportunities I've been given and enjoying the ride!
Where can you be found when you're not at Northern Ballet?
With my lovely boyfriend Bruno, visiting our favourite places in Yorkshire such as Saltaire, Hebden Bridge and Knaresborough or sipping lattes in Laynes Espresso – our favourite café in Leeds.
What's the best advice you’ve ever been given?
"Dreda, don't be sad. It doesn't suit you."
Dreda, with Sebastian Loe, have choreographed Northern Ballet's first ballet for children - Ugly Duckling.
