Dance & Diving Performance

Sunday 13 February at John Charles Centre, Aquatics Centre Diving Pool

Site of the performance. Photo Northern Ballet Learning.Only a week to go now to the culmination of the Don’t Just Sit There Leeds project! All the groups involved – Hawksworth Wood Primary year 6, Leeds City College students, our Academy students and the Leeds Diving Team – after rehearsing separately will finally come together on the day of the performance for a last minute rehearsal before the performance of the finished piece.

The piece takes swimming and diving as its inspiration, using dry land diving drills, swimming techniques and the idea of moving through water as starting points.

The performance is free and open to the general public but seating is limited so we’re hoping to get a good crowd, but not too many to fit in! The piece is about 15 mins long and has in interactive element – don’t worry, audience members won’t be getting wet but we may ask you to give the spectacular diving sequences a score during the show.

If you’d like to come along and watch email who is keeping a close eye on audience numbers. It’s sure to be a performance to remember – hopefully for the right reasons!
