Tell us something about your home town.

Lisbon is Portugal’s hilly coastal capital city. Overlooking the Rio Tejo Lisbon’s panorama of cobbled alleyways, ancient ruins and historic buildings makes it one of the most beautiful cities I know.

What keeps you motivated?

Knowing that what I do gives people who come to watch ballet a glimpse into a different world and an opportunity to feel, think and question things.

What would you do on your ideal day off?

I would practice yoga, go for a nice walk somewhere in nature and have friends over for dinner and some games.

Can you cook? If so, what’s your signature dish?

I can and I love it. I would say it’s a Portuguese dish called Bacalhau com natas – creamy cod.

What book/story/movie would you like to see created into a ballet?

The Fifth Element

What is your TV viewing guilty pleasure?

Dragon Ball

What film makes you laugh out loud?

Name a skill you’d like to learn?

A type of martial arts.

Name one place in the world you haven’t been to but would like to go to and why?

Okinawa island in Japan. Besides its gorgeous landscape, its people are said to be one of the happiest and healthiest on the planet. I would love to immerse myself in their culture and lifestyle.

Do you have a favourite quote?

‘Love people, use things. The opposite never works.’
