In a nutshell describe your job and how you got into it
I am a Premier Dancer with the Company and perform in all the productions, touring both the U.K. and abroad. I auditioned by joining in company classes for a few days. On the Friday I was asked to ‘cover’ an injured dancer for 3 months and could I start on Monday. That was in 1996!
Where can you be found when you’re not at Northern Ballet?
Visiting family and friends, on a walk in the countryside or at local markets and health food shops.
Which is your favourite Northern Ballet production and why?
I have lots of favourites but A Midsummer Night’s Dream stands out because of the audience reaction. So many ballets are tragic, but this comedy was a brilliant choice and remembering the audience laughing still brings a smile to my face.
