Where were you born and raised?
I was born and raised in Almàssera, a little town next to Valencia in Spain.
At what age did you start dancing?
I started dancing at six years old.
Where did you train?
I first trained at a local school in Valencia and then at Estudio de Danza María Carbonell in the same city. At the age of 16 I moved to Lausanne in Switzerland to train at the École Atelier Rudra Bejart. After their two year programme, I joined the Academy of Northern Ballet's Professional Graduate Programme.
Which Northern Ballet role would you most like to dance?
I would love any role in The Great Gatsby and the Spanish dance in The Nutcracker.
Career and training highlights
Performing in Northern Ballet's The Nutcracker and Puss in Boots was an amazing opportunity and experience. Also learning and performing works by Maurice Béjart and Martha Graham at school was such a privilege.
What do you like most about being a dancer?
I love that special feeling of being on stage and going to ballet class every morning. I like having a goal and new challenges to work on.
If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?
A ballet of the film Prince of Persia would be an interesting story to dance.
What is your favourite book?
Marianela by Benito Pérez Galdós.
What is your favourite post-show meal?
Pasta with carbonara sauce, it's my favourite one.
How do you like to relax?
I like playing piano and watching films. Also a long walk listening to good music is relaxing for me.
If you weren't a dancer what would you be?
A composer. I sometimes improvise and create little works by myself on the piano. I would love to improve that learning by studying about it.
