Heloise Bourgeat


Heloise was born in Poitiers, France and raised in the countryside of Cloué. She first trained in Poitiers before continuing her training at the National Higher Dance School of Marseille. Heloise joined Northern Ballet in 2014 and left in 2015

Where were you born and raised?

I was born in Poitiers in France and raised in the countryside of Cloué.

At what age did you start dancing?

I started dancing when I was 10 years old.

Where did you train?

I started my training at a private school in Poitiers and then continued my training at the National Higher School of Dance in Marseille.

Favourite roles to dance?

I danced the role of Kitri in Don Quixote while at school in Marseille and also enjoyed dancing Raymonda.

What do you like most about being a dancer?

What I like most is the sensation you get when you are on stage and you forget everything else and become somebody new. I also like the elegance and grace of being a dancer.

What is your favourite book?

I don’t have a favourite book but I do like Marc Levy’s books.

What is your favourite post-show meal?

A big hamburger with fries and a coke.

How do you like to relax?

A good hot bath full of bubbles with jazz music playing.

If you weren’t a dancer what would you be?

I would probably have studied visual art and painting or perfumery.
