Learn more about Thomas

Where were you born and raised?

I was born and educated in Shenfield, Essex. My father is English and my mother Croatian so I have also spent a lot of time with family in Croatia.

At what age did you start dancing?

I was six years old when my three year old sister's ballet teacher saw me trying to teach her how to skip with 'pointy' toes. The next thing I knew the teacher was dragging me into the following class, the rest, as they say, is history!

Where did you train?

At Adagio School of Dance until I was 16 and then English National Ballet School.

Which Northern Ballet role would you most like to dance?

I would love to be cast as the Beast in Beauty & the Beast.

Career/training highlights

Being offered a place at English National Ballet School, taking part in My First Ballet during my second year, and finally being offered a position at Northern Ballet!

What do you like most about being a dancer?

I love to express myself through dance but I really just love to perform.

If you could adapt one work into a ballet what would it be?

I can imagine Les Misérables being an amazing ballet. It would be a huge challenge but the end result would be worth it.

What is your favourite book?

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series as I grew up with it and it's a very important part of my childhood.

What is your favourite post-show meal?

Anything! I just love food - not gonna lie!

How do you like to relax?

I like to go to the gym and love swimming and tennis. Given the opportunity though, I will of course go to Croatia as it is the perfect escape from the stress of modern life.

If you weren't a dancer what would you be?

If I didn't dance I would love to act.
