How many pointe shoes do we use?

pointe shoe trivia - no. of poitne shoes a year

Depending on the repertoire for the season, Northern Ballet use approximately 2,200 pairs of pointe shoes each year. Using the average size pointe shoe, if you were to line them up, toe to heel, it would be well over half a mile!
