Commuters dazzled by Nutcracker tree!

The people of Leeds are being treated to a dazzling Christmas commute this year with the unveiling of a Nutcracker themed tree in the station’s newly developed main hall.

To celebrate the new arrival, the tree was visited by the Sugar Plum Fairy and Cavalier themselves (Northern Ballet dancers Ayami Miyati and Sean Bates), much to the delight of onlookers.

The outcome of the Government Spending Review for the arts was far better than anticipated.  Although there will be cuts to the Department for Culture, Media & Sport budgets, the budget to the Arts Council was protected.
