This week in Northern Ballet (2 June 2014)
This week we welcome our dancers back to Leeds after being out on tour for for almost a month. It's nice to have them back in the building where rehearsals and creativity are top of the agenda as everyone prepares for the final performances of the season with the Mixed Programme at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Theatre.
The studios will be back in full use as the Company rehearses Concertante and Concerto Six Twenty-Two, and Kenneth Tindall creates his latest work, The Architect, all for the Mixed Programme which we will perform in just over two weeks' time.
A catch-up on last week...
Last week the Company were in Southampton to perform at the Mayflower Theatre for the very first time. Audiences were treated to some magical performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream and Three Little Pigs also visited on Friday where more than 2,500 children came to enjoy their on-stage antics. Read my Tales from Touring to find out about my adventures in Southampton.
Both productions were well received and we look forward to returning to Southampton next year with Wuthering Heights.
