But that's not all - for the next two weeks the Academy of Northern Ballet have their International Summer School and this week we are host to 92 young dancers from the UK and around the world here to learn from Yoko Ichino and our amazing faculty.

The Academy's Adult Classes are running while the International Summer School is taking place on Tuesdays 29 July, 5 & 12 August for Improvers and Thursdays 31 July, 7 & 14 August for Beginners. Contact the Academy on 0113 220 8000 for information and booking.

The Summer School continues next week and from Monday18 - Thursday 21 August we have our annual open Summer Course for young people aged 6 to 13. The course covers dance and story telling and is for people of all abilities - there are only a few places left, call Shelley Firth on 0113 220 8000 for more information.

If that wasn't enough former Premier Dancer (Guest Ballet Master and Academy teacher) Christopher Hinton-Lewis has joined our Artistic Director David Nixon OBE flying to Calgary, Canada where Alberta Ballet are staging our production of The Three Musketeers.

In cast you missed it

Last week Northern Balelt was nominated for Best Company and Kenneth Tindall for Best Young Choreographer at the Taglioni European Ballet Awards. For Best Company, fellow nominees are Hamburg Ballett and Ballet de l’Opera national de Paris - illustrious company indeed!

Kenneth Tindall was also accepted on DanceUK's Dancers' Mentoring Scheme, a true week for celebration.
