A Royal Visit

Last Wednesday 9 September, Northern Ballet were privileged to enjoy a visit from our royal patron HRH the Earl of Wessex KG GCVO.

His Royal Highness enjoyed a dinner with Northern Ballet Artistic Director David Nixon OBE, alongside 1984 choreographer Jonathan Watkins and senior personnel and dancers from across the Company. The group shared a Loyal Toast with His Royal Highness to mark Her Majesty the Queen becoming the longest serving British Monarch.

His Royal Highness then took his seats for a performance of the Company’s new ballet 1984 at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
