Kenneth Tindall, Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director of Digital and Choreographer in Residence will choreograph a new work to be performed as part of the Grand Final of BBC Young Dancer 2019. Open to non-professional dancers aged 16 – 21, BBC Young Dancer is a highly competitive talent search across four different dance disciplines: Ballet, South Asian, Contemporary and Street Dance. The Grand Final brings together the top young dancers from each category, highlighting their technical command and creative ability. The overall winner will receive a specially commissioned trophy and a £3,000 cash prize to help further their dance studies.

The finalist from the Ballet section is 18 year old Chloe Keneally, originally from Brisbane, Australia. Chloe moved to London at age 16 to join the English National Ballet School and will perform a new work choreographed by Tindall as part of the Grand Final.

Kenneth Tindall said: "It really is an honour and a privilege to create dance for someone who is not only very talented but also has an infectious passion for ballet."
