The next intake on the course will be for the full-time course running through to late June 2017. Entry Requirements To apply to the Professional Graduate Programme dancers must be at least 18 years old by September 2016 and have completed vocational training. Applicants must also have completed their AS Levels (or equivalent) before the course start date. International applications are welcome subject to obtaining appropriate visa.

Our Professional Graduate Programme is a one year traineeship for aspiring dancers with bold ambitions. The holistic training programme is designed to bridge the gap between full-time training and professional performance. With many opportunities to learn from, train with and perform alongside the internationally acclaimed Northern Ballet, this unique programme provides a fully immersive experience within a professional company.

The Academy of Northern Ballet is striving to ensure that talented students can access training, regardless of family or financial background. If you have a query or concern regarding fees please contact the Academy team to discuss. The full cost of the course is £3,649 per year (based on costs for September 2015) and means tested financial support is available to successful applicants supported by The Department for Education . Please note that from Level 4 and above there is £75 top-up fee bringing the course cost to £3,724.

One of Northern Ballet Academy's more popular open classes is the Over 55s class. Here the participants extol the fun and virtues of the class.
Joseph Poulton and Dale Rhodes were 2 of the original students we took onto our Professional training programme (CAT) in its pilot year in 2004. They both graduated from the Academy 2008. This week they have been back in to visit us all and I managed to have a quick chat with them about their training and their time at Northern Ballet Academy.
