Ugly Duckling

Hello everybody! I have been continuing my travels over the last week to tell children across the North of England all about Ugly Duckling and to get them all dancing and having fun. I went to Berwick-upon-Tweed and on the way there I saw five rainbows which were very beautiful.
Following sell-out performances in Leeds, Northern Ballet’s first short ballet for small people, Ugly Duckling, begins an extensive tour to theatres across the North of England from 12 March. Choreographed by Northern Ballet dancers Dreda Blow and Sebastian Loe, Ugly Duckling received rave reviews from audiences and critics at performances in Leeds last autumn.
Quack quack! Hello there....  What an amazing few weeks it has been, with performances of Ugly Duckling in Yeadon, Hunslet, Chapeltown and at Northern Ballet, taking place to sell-out audiences.

Good morning duck fans. With all the cuddles I’ve been getting over the last few weeks at the Breeze events I’ve had the stuffing knocked out of me, quite literally, and I’ve now got a little cut on my neck!
This is the first week of the school holidays and so children and families are out in force at local parks and attractions, making it the perfect time to let people know about Ugly Duckling, our new ballet for children.
Our Learning team will be out and about over the summer in local parks, engaging families in activities inspired by Ugly Duckling. They will be teaming up with Breeze on Tour, who hold free festivals for young people aged 0 – 19 across the city, and will be part of the exciting activities in the Play Zone.
