Hannah and Joseph at the Brontë Parsonage Museum
With Northern Ballet’s Jane Eyre tour opening in March, our dancers Hannah Bateman and Joseph Taylor visited the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth, Yorkshire to film exclusive new content for the Jane Eyre digital programme.
Exploring the home where Charlotte Brontë lived and wrote her classic novel, Hannah and Joseph explained their interpretation of the roles of Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester, and their relationship together.
Hannah also met with Ann Dinsdale, Principal Curator of the Brontë Parsonage Museum, to see priceless artifacts and learn more about the lives of the Brontë sisters and Charlotte's inspiration for Jane Eyre.
We couldn't resist asking Hannah and Joseph to step into character whilst we were there too - so they created a series of interpretive dance movements around the grounds, based on their roles as Jane Eyre and Mr Rochester.
